As an the Assistant Accountant – Hybrid Working you will play a crucial role in the organisation by performing various tasks that support major decisions of the business and will report directly into the Divisional Financial Controller. This role will provide financial support to SMT. You will be involved in exciting projects whilst managing the monthly management accounts.

As a Assistant Accountant – Hybrid Working you would be involved in:

Maintain accurate and up to date sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
Prepare and process journals as part of the monthly accounts responsibilities
Prepare monthly Management Accounts
Participate in regular Project Management meetings to report on company performance
Assist with production of annual financial statements (including liaising with auditors)
Assist with management of the Company's cash flow and forecasting
Management of purchase ledger and payment of invoices
Management of sales ledger and credit control
Preparation of VAT returns
Reconciliation of bank statements and cash books
Maintain fixed asset registers
General accounting support


The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Experience of management and financial accounting and reporting

Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines

Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis

Competent using ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP
