Business Development Manager (UK)

International Contractor

£30,000 – £40,000 + Package

About The Client

An International Construction Contractor with a group annual turnover in excess of £30b, who are market leaders within the Modular Housing Sector.

Operating for many years in countries including The US, Australia, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Mexico, the group have recently entered the European market, and acquired business units across Netherlands, Germany and most recently the UK.

The group see the UK as it’s key overseas growth market, and aim to grow the UK operation into a £300m + turnover business within the next 5 years. This will include delivering in excess of 1000 new homes per year within the next 5 – 7 years, as well as expanding further into the other sectors.

To help achieve these ambitious goals, plans are in place to develop it’s own UK factory within the next 12-18 months

About the Role

You will join as Business Development Manager for the UK, and report directly into the UK Head of Sales.

You will target new sales opportunities with clients across the housing sector, and help develop contacts and relationships with key stakeholders, and present business solutions and proposals to potential new customers.

Expectations of the Role & Responsibilities

* Attend sales meetings and assist in delivering presentations to potential new customers

* Liaising with industry leaders

* Develop relationships with main contractors across the housing sector

* Provide new tenders into the business and work with the internal bid and design teams.

* Produce pipeline sales figures for sales meetings with the board

* Work closely with the technical teams to deliver timely quotations and bid proposals to prospective customers.

What You Need to Succeed

You will be a highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who prides themselves on developing and nurturing long standing relationships with key accounts and new customers.

You will be profit driven, and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in a Sales role, ideally within the housing or modular construction sectors.

You will be self motivated to work in a target driven environment while maintaining a positive and “can do” attitude

You will have a good standard of education and particularly strong literacy and numeracy skills.

You will be well organised and a strong confident communicator in both face to face and telephone meetings, with a competitive spirit and a passion for sales.

A full UK Driving License is essential for the role
