A rare opportunity has become available for a Desk Sales Specialist to support 3 Field Sales Managers, in Cardiff.
At BT Corporate and Public Sector Sales function is focussed on driving value for customers of more than 100 employees. Customers at this level require a higher degree of intimacy with more complex solutions or integrations. We’ll be organised regionally to bring our field sales teams near to Enterprise’s customers, both current and potential. There is a dedicated team, with a national focus, for major public sector accounts – enabling us to manage our key Government and Defence relationships consistently and securely.
As a DR to the Sales Manager of the Welsh Region CPS team this role is responsible for providing in-life customer support and straightforward cross-sell and upsell opportunities for Public Sector customers within the Southwest.
This role is responsible for managing customer relationships from a desk-based environment, managing a range of customers who take services through the Public Sector within the Southwest, with a revenue target of c£30m.
Customer satisfaction is also a significant factor for your nominated client as part of an overall account team.
You'll have the following responsibilities
* Responsible for delivering against revenue targets either on his/her own, or as part of virtual sales team within a customer base of either private or public sector customers.
* Responsibility for outbound sales prospecting and opportunities, regular and consistent calling of customers and promotion of BT products and services.
* Work closely with field sales and specialist teams to deliver opportunities for core BT product line
* Accurately forecast business KPI’s to management teams
* Proactively manage churn risk for core BT products
You'll have the following skills & experience
* To profitably retain, develop and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts. Achieve/exceed business targets, expressed in terms of revenue, new product revenue growth and customer satisfaction
* Continuously develop growth pipeline
* Creation of an account/win plan for all re-sign and growth opportunities, demonstrating required actions and effective engagement of the virtual team
* Develop effective, multilayer relationships with customers, demonstrating knowledge of their business and their decision-making process, right across their business to add value and exceptional engagement, becoming a trusted and valued partner
* Conduct customer meetings and dialogue which supports your retention and growth campaign, fronting all commercial & contractual activity, and accurately record all sales activity on the central CRM system
Experience BT would want you to have:
* Managing a range of clients, especially Public Sector customers
* Familiarity with BT’s Desk-Based Account management approach
