Location: Port Talbot

Salary : £34,500 – £37,500 + Benefits

The Role

Support the Area Engineering Managers in effectively maintaining all process and auxiliary equipment within the business units.
Improve up time while reducing costs.
Provide practical and technical support within your area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements.
Develop your abilities, all whilst working within a unique manufacturing environment.

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll hold:

Solid experience in fast paced heavy industrial manufacturing activities.
You will be qualified to a minimum HNC and ideally HND/Degree level.
Demonstrable background of an electrical engineering discipline, continuous improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, planning and implementing maintenance stops, reacting to faults & breakdowns and dealing with contractors.
Excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate.
The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.
Knowledge and experience in:
AC & DC electrical drives
Electrical power distribution networks up to 11kV PLCs, (fault finding and programming)
Electrical fault finding and repair
Reading circuitry schematics
18th Edition wiring regs
