Location: Port Talbot

Salary : £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits

The Role

We're currently recruiting for an Engineering Development Manager to manage the

development of Engineering Skills across all of the facilities, workshops and

operational units. As the relationship manager with external training providers and 3 rd party

agencies you will provide modern and high skilled training programmes to satisfy the

companies current and future needs.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role provides the opportunity to efficiently manage

the current programmes whilst coordinating with HR functions on future strategy and

direction of the Engineering recruitment and talent development activities. Job satisfaction

The Engineering Development Manager will manage modern apprentice training

programmes and oversee the recruitment and induction processes. Some of these people

will have long and successful careers within the company and the development and training

you and your team provide will be one of the foundations for the company's future success.

The role includes mentoring and coaching developing talent on a 1:1 basis as well as being

the Engineering point of contact for year group cohorts of apprentices and graduates.

The Engineering Development Manager will have:

Ability to listen, coach and mentor all levels of the Engineering personnel.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to lead with a strong educational background.
Ability to represent the company externally and manage programmes involving 3 rd party providers and external stakeholders is essential.
