Finance Officer

Location: Caldicot

Position: Full time, Permanent (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 p/a + benefits

This position is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress and step up their career. Responsibilities of Finance Officer:

Process and manage all Purchase and Sales Ledger transactions

Raising sales invoices and credit notes in line with purchase orders

Follow and chase debtors when necessary  

Reconcile bank and ledger statements and ensure all accounts are balanced

Prepare and review financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements

Assisting the Financial Controller with the month end

Dealing with internal and external finance queries when required

Performing other adhoc accounting and administration duties related to the processing of Accounts

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience within a busy Finance team

AAT or equivalent finance qualification

Planning and organisational abilities, able to prioritise workload accordingly and work to deadlines timely

Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Proficient across Microsoft platforms, Excel in particular

The ability to engage and develop strong relationships
