Finance Officer

Job description

Based in a beautiful location at the group’s flagship venue in Swansea; you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day reconciliation of the group’s daily transactions, monthly reconciliations and month-end reporting.

You will be fully supported in your career progression and work closely with the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director to manage month end reporting, year end audits, Annual Budgets, and a variety of Wealth Creation projects which will provide you with valuable practical experience.

Key Skills

* Experience working within busy and complex Finance Departments.

* Qualifications: Full or part qualified: CIMA, ACCA, AAT, BA/BSc in Accounting & Finance, or QBE.

* Proficiency in MS Applications with Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.

* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

* Experience with Financial Modelling is desired but not essential.

* Highly motivated and self-reliant.

* High standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

* Ability to collaborate within Finance Team and across other departments.

* Positive approach; adaptable and willing to take on challenges.

* Ability to focus on tasks given with strong ability to prioritise.

* Excellent communicator with proven problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage all daily processes for the efficient running of the finance department

* Import and reconcile daily cash & revenue, investigate, and resolve discrepancies

* Manage Accounts Payables process

* Bank reconciliations

* Monthly accruals and prepayments

* Inter-company cross charges

* Balance Sheet Reconciliations

* Manage month end process and identify efficiencies to improve processes.

* Assist with forecasting and analyse monthly variances

* Assist with Annual Budgets

* Prepare & submit company VAT returns

* Support continual improvement of processes and controls

Job Types: Full-Time, Permanent

Starting Salary range: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum dependant on Experience and matching Key Skills.
