We're currently looking for an experienced Grants Administrator on behalf of our client.

The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient grant administration function through the entire lifecycle of the grant process, in accordance with the Foundation's policies and procedures.

The Foundation is a small team, you should be able to demonstrate you can work efficiently on your own, prioritising your own daily workload effectively.

Attend training courses relevant to the role from time to time.

Undertake any other reasonable tasks as and when requested.

Support the risk culture of the organisation by taking personal responsibility for identifying and managing risks in everything you do.


* Processing of grants and general administration

* Deal with enquiries by telephone, email and post. Refer any matters to the trustees as appropriate. Follow procedures adopted by the Foundation.

* Undertake the administration and processing of all grant applications, using the MD CRM system, in accordance with Foundation policies and procedures. Maintain related systems-based records in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

* Work with sensitive material relating to grant applications, acting in a professional and confidential manner at all times.

* Input data accurately and efficiently, specifically financial information processing grant payments.

* Monitor the receipt of project updates and reports from charities and follow-up as required. Refer updates and charity reports to the Grants Committee and circulate to the trustees, as appropriate.

* Maintain filing systems electronically, including hard copy archived filing.

* Draft and send correspondence as and when required by trustees.

* Arrange meetings as requested by the trustees. Deal with visitors to the Foundation in a professional and personable manner. Book meeting rooms and co-ordinate facilities as required.

* Prepare announcements and updates for the group Intranet or the Foundation's website, as requested and agreed by the trustees.

* Oversee and own Foundation procedures, ensuring they are kept up to date.

Experience and skills

* Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Sharepoint.
* Have good IT skills.
* Experience of Word press would be preferable however, training can be provided.
