Afternoons 13:55 – 22:00 Friday 13:20 – 20:50

Nights 21:55 – 06:00 (Mon-Thurs)

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000

Lead Process Operator

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Lead Process Operator will supervise the operation of one or more manufacturing lines for the production of wound care intermediates. The Process Lead will be expected to operate the process during the shift as well as carry out Process Lead duties. The Process Lead will be a subject matter expert on the operation of the manufacturing lines within their remit and will deputise for the Shift Lead in their absence, including full Incident Control duties.

Main Responsibilities

Providing leadership in EHS through regular discussions with safety teams, risk assessments and workplace inspections
Ownership and review of risk assessments within area of ownership
Acts as incident Controller in the event of an emergency in the Shift Lead’s absence
Issues and receives hand back of Permits to Work for maintenance, engineering, contractor activity within area of ownership
Compliance with EHS requirements and uphold these standards
Provide leadership in Quality through regular discussions with Quality team and non-conformance board
Carry out Event management for non-conformances within their area
Review and approval of batch documentation (including labels as required).
Compliance with GMP requirements and uphold these standards
Compliance and ownership of operating procedures for area of ownership
Expertise in operating the equipment within area of ownership
Overseeing the training and development of process operators.
Deals with specific people issues as they arise and communicates with the Shift Lead to ensure that they are dealt with in the correct way
Performance monitoring and intermediate fault finding/investigations of processes.
Seek and deliver CI opportunities in area of ownership
Operational checks of ancillary equipment
Conducts inductions where required and visitor tours
Dsear and Atex regulationscompliance

The Candidate

High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Results oriented.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex problems, incorporating data gathered from a variety of sources.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Experience of Quality systems and CEDAR.
Must be proficient with PC programs i.e., Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) SAP
