YVA is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual to set up and run new groups who has the flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our members with a learning disability. To be successful in this role you will need experience of working with adults with a learning disability, groupwork and networking in the community.
Fixed term contract for 1 year and then subject to further funding availability Travel within the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas. Having a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Establish and sustain engaging and enjoyable new groups for adults with a learning disability across the area of Swansea and Neath both online and in the community.
Assist in the delivery of regular events and activities to adults with a learning disability and encourage membership of West Glamorgan People First.
Train and support vulnerable adults and people with disabilities to become volunteer ‘peer advocates’ and to attend relevant external events and activities and representative bodies
