JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Operations Director.

A highly experienced and energised individual with a commitment to maintaining Product Quality and Management of the Company Quality Management System.

ROLE PURPOSE

* Maintain the company Quality Management System and verify compliance by implementing periodic audits replicating the external accreditation audits conducted by BSI.
* Develop business and process improvements using the QMS as a baseline.
* Ensure products and services meet and exceed customers' expectation.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Monitor systems on site, analysing data and driving changes that will improve on site pe rformance.
* Investigate any issues and produce written cause and corrective/prevent responses.
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure that commitment levels are aligned with business objectives.
* Assist with product and process continuous improvement, documenting any changes.
* Manage the Quality team, organising training plans and championing professional development of the engineering team.
* Maintain the QMS's and ensure that these are aligned to customer and company requirements.
* Direct staff and teams across the business to ensure quality frameworks are implemented.
* Provide updates to senior managers and directors around quality matters.
* Assist with the training of other staff and offer technical support to customers when required.
* Maintain Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring the business is always compliant.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS

* Experience leading a team within a business with manufacturing on site.
* Conversant with the Quality toolbox and able to present examples.
* Auditing knowledge and/or experience ISO 9001 and EN9100
* An engineering degree or other relevant engineering training.

* Quality Management System Maintenance and Improvement
* Timely closure of customer Quality Deficiency Reports
* Product Development and Implementation
* Maintaining Accreditation of the companies QMS to ISO9100 and EN9100.

AUTHORITIES

* Ensure compliance to the Company Quality Managements System by allocating Internal Audits to suitably qualified personnel
* Dispositioning of Nonconforming Material
* Qualifying and approving implementation of Corrective/Preventive actions.
