Regional Commercial Manager- Ospreys Rugby- (junior/mid level) – Competitive Basic Salary + Commission – Swansea

The Role

The Ospreys are the most successful Welsh regional rugby franchise, winning 4 league titles in the last 18 years and providing more male and female internationals at all levels of the game. We pride ourselves on local grassroots development, representing 77 community clubs, with further plans to expand across the globe.

We are looking to appoint a Regional Commercial Manager to proactively build relationships in the region and create brilliant partnerships that deliver significant revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Regional Commercial Manager include, but are not limited to:

Proactively build relationships in the region, and create partnerships that deliver new revenues
Drive and grow the local sponsorship product
Network the region, with local businesses, clubs, and ensure Ospreys is front and centre of any opportunity
Ensure the delivery of local/regional sponsor deals with the aim to over deliver on client expectations
Be visible on game days – you are the face of the Ospreys
Ensure key clients needs are delivered on match day
Consistently exceed the budgeted match by match sales, and seasonal sales target for hospitality
Lead generation and conversion of hospitality and event sales, exploiting current data and exploring strategies to engage with new customers
Customer management of seasonal clients, ensuring a strong relationship exists and encourage up selling of products to maximise revenues
Work with internal marketing teams to maximise game day sales
Work effectively as part of the commercial team to meet the expectations for productivity and quality, and strive for continuous improvement

The Person

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent network within South Wales, (Swansea, Neath and Bridgend and the surrounding area)
Track record of selling hospitality products in sport/ leisure
Experience of delivering an outstanding customer experience
Experience of working with discretion in a professional environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
