Opus Vitae are actively recruiting for a client based in the Welshpool area.

Starting Salary is £25,000.00, rising to £27,500 after fully trained and achieving a good level of product range knowledge. There is a sales team bonus scheme available.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 17.00pm and Friday 9.00am – 15.00pm with half hour lunch break. Total 37.5 hours per week.

Holidays: 20 days per year plus Bank Holidays of which approximately 5 days must be taken at Christmas. This will rise to 25 days plus bank holidays after 5 years’ service.

Responsibilities:

* Generate new sales from construction projects within the sectors

* Develop long term relationships with clients, through interpreting their requirements

* Assist in delivering the company’s overall sales target, along with regional sales targets

* Collate and assist in monthly forecasting to Technical Sales Manager

* Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and organisations needs

* Develop an understanding NEC 3 type contracts, evaluate risk with contractual terms prior to submitting proposals, by working with line managers

* Ensure all tenders are reviewed prior to submission. This will include assessing the commercial risk to the business as well as mitigating any potential onerous terms and conditions and credit issues

* Certify that all contracts are successfully “closed out” in line with acceptable terms and conditions that mitigate risk to the company.

* Secure, examine and interpret enquiry documents and technical specifications for the full range of products

* Review and ensure that quality technical bids are submitted in time and in line with industry norms focusing on production times and market rate

* Liaise with other members of the sales team and technical experts within the organisation to ensure that client expectations are being met.

* Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records, in line with company CRM system

* Comply with all current and future Company, HR, Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.

* Investigate results of both current and completed contracts to determine cause and effect when deviations from estimates occur and recommend actions to avoid recurrence.

* Manage and close contract negotiations and liaise with interested parties

* Work closely with the customer to ensure you offer technical solutions to their specification.

* Follow up, progress to order to place status and administer sales enquiries and quotations in line with company policy and procedure

* Regularly update CRM system to show status of projects

* Management of the sales process from prospect through to contract handover

Qualifications

* HNC engineering/ building construction/ minimum 5 GCSE grade C or above, must include mathematics

* Conversant in the knowledge and preparation of estimating standards and design

* Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office, CRM, EMP

* Ability to deal with a dynamic, changing work environment with multiplestakeholders and often rapidly changing priorities
