The Release Train Engineer will be the primary role to support, coordinate and coaching of these multiple value streams and ARTs in lean agile ways of working and specifically in the implementation of the scaled agile framework for Physical Access Control Systems.
To support the drive to achieve larger scale business agility we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced lean agile evangelist and coach to support the ongoing launch of new agile release trains and to advocate a lean agile mindset and culture amongst the solution level leaders establishing practices.

As our Release Train Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:
* Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Train using various tools, such as the Solution Kanbans and other information radiators
* Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Solution Increments (SIs)
* Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
* Summarize program PI objectives into Solution PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
* Assist tracking the execution of capabilities
* Facilitate periodic synchronization events to maintain alignment throughout the PI
* Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating capability estimation
* Participate in the Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams and scrum masters in the new processes and mindsets
* Help configure SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to the organization’s needs, standardizing and documenting practices
* Help manage risks and dependencies
* Escalate and track impediments
* Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
* Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
* Work with Product and Solution Management, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
* Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevOps and Release on Demand competencies
* Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails
* Facilitate Solution Demos
* Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the Solution Train and help them improve
What we will love about your background:
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience working with Confluence, Jira and Jira Align (AgileCraft) or equivalent
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and interpret specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Knowledge of Customer Centricity and Design Thinking practices and tools
Ability to empathize with the needs and challenges of internal stakeholders and customers
Education and/or Experience
* SAFE SPC or RTE Certification
* Bachelor’s degree preferably in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* At least five years’ experience of new product development.
* Broad range of experience encompassing hardware/firmware/software/cloud integration and test, new product introduction to manufacturing, and production launch.
* Experience of delivering complex projects and / or programmes
* Proven experience of organizing and facilitating large events with 150+ attendees
* Experience of using common Agile tools including Atlassian JIRA and associated applications
* Ability to manage a large and varied workload, to prioritize and multi-task
* At least five years’ experience of new product development.
* Broad range of experience encompassing hardware/firmware/software/cloud integration and test, new product introduction to manufacturing, and production launch.
