Senior Systems Engineer

£29,000 – 36,000p/a (DOE)+ on-call retainer & Benefits

Objective
To contribute to the business by being a technical innovator, achieving mastery of the role, taking ownership and accountability for all that is delivered.
Technical Skills required:
Hosted telephones
Voice over IP PBX (preferably using SIP/SDP/RTP)
TCP/IP networking
Proficient in the use of Wireshark
Tasks
* Use analytical and logical methods to troubleshoot and problem solve complex voice issues
* Provide technical customer care and training within a voice IP environment
* Resolve complex voice tickets, providing resolutions, and provide or assist with root cause analyses where required
* Mentor other team members – guiding them through support incidents, analysing SIP traffic and performing network troubleshooting
* Ensure internal and external facing technical documentation is up to date; take responsibility for creating new articles where knowledge sharing is required.
