As Systems QA Engineer you will ensure great products built globally work seamlessly together or with 3rd party solutions. You will be able to identify what good installation and user experience looks like and measure success achieved and continous improvement.

As our Systems QA Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

* Integrates all aspects of HIDs PACS Portfolio and reports on system/solution performance, stability, and user experience.

* Maintains the Systems/Solution lab such that it can function 24/7, integrating new products or upgrades into the overall Solution Test Bench as and when they become available from the respective development teams.

* Researches, plans, formulates, and executes activities in the development of Test plans and Test runs which validate Systems/Solution level performance and key Non-Functional Requirements.

* Reviews Program plans, product specifications, defect reports and marketing requirements to continually evolve the Systems/Solution test bench. Runs Baseline exercises as required to gather baseline data.

* Analyses test data to determine if the solution meets functional and performance specifications. Generates Test Reports and/or other data required by Engineering / Program Teams

* Ensures that Test Samples and Test Equipment are available to support the planned test schedule.

* Attends regular Pulse meetings and reports on Test Planning, Scope and Test status.

* Confers with other HID personnel to clarify or resolve problems.

* Undertake assignments to support the PACS Development Roadmap and associated Value Streams.

* Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.

* Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

* Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

* Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Linux etc.

* Knowledge of SQL or other databases

* Familiar with App development tools, Appium, Selenium (Desirable)

* Familiar with prototyping tools, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, 3-D Printing (Desirable)

* Working knowledge of networking, switches, routers etc

Your Experience and Education include:

* Possesses a suitable Degree or equivalent qualification or +10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* This position would ideally suit an Access Control or L3 Technical Support Engineer with extensive experience in scoping, installing, configuring, and supporting all aspects of Physical Access Control Systems under real world conditions.

* Possesses and applies documented principles, practices, and procedures over a range of fields including but not limited to Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Validation, and PACS Systems including Reader configuration, Credential programming and Controller configuration and interoperability

* Assignments are usually limited to support PACS NPI Roadmap

* May expand knowledge and skills to related sets of job duties as required

* IT/IP Networking and associated technologies (CISCO CENT or equivalent)

* Lean and Agile methodologies, including SAFe

* Access Control management via Head-End or IAM Systems
