Teaching Assistant

Our client Penarth ALN School are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with secondary aged pupils with additional needs. Our school supports learners from around the Vale of Glamorgan with severe and complex additional needs from ages 3-19. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant that has experience supporting people with additional learning needs and is confident working in a close team environment.

£13.29 per hour

Full Time 8.30am-3.30pm

Role:

Working full time with the learners from the secondary phase of the school with Autism, Behavioural Needs, Speech and Language Needs, and SEMH.

Helping the teacher deliver creative and bespoke lessons and ensure learners are on task while helping with understanding.

Managing behaviour and reducing challenging behaviour.

Helping with pupil assessments and monitoring progress.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant that is interested in working with learners from mainly the secondary phase of the school but will also be expected to cover across the school so they must be flexible and able to adapt their cover effectively.

Requirements:

Enhanced Child and Adult DBS

EWC registration

2 reference

Safeguarding Level 2 – Free through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
