We are looking for an experienced Utilities Engineering Technician with a mechanical bias to join our client due to ongoing growth. This is an additional hire within the business due to the increase in size of the company and you will be joining a current team of 5, focusing on maintaining the wide range of site services present.

You will be working in a regulated manufacturing environment so any experience of working in a comparable regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food production, cosmetics or possibly aviation or automotive sectors would be of great benefit as would FMCG experience. Knowledge of GMP would also be of particular interest.

Key responsibilities:

* Maintain and monitor all site services and equipment including heating, lighting, ventilation (HVAC), air-conditioning, electrical distribution, water supply, steam/boiler systems, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safety systems, lifts and escalators

* Daily tasks will focus on using the in-house maintenance system to plan routine maintenance and checks of the site

* Attend equipment breakdowns and limit impact on the business

* Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, upgrades and maintenance checks

* Assist with new equipment installations and upgrades

* Ensure the operational integrity and reliability of the plant and equipment
