Manpower is recruiting Kitchen Assistants on behalf of our public sector client.

Location: Bridgend

Job type: Temporary, duration ongoing

Hours: Full flexibility is required, you will be required to work any day of the week including bank holidays as per the rota. The shift is 4 pm – 8 pm.

Hourly rate
£11.45 Weekdays
£16.14 Saturdays and nights
£20.95 Sundays and Bank Holidays

The role
As a Kitchen Assistant / Pot Wash you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

Wash pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying bins.
Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot environment, you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Manpower can support with this.
